“Santa’s Suicide” Bars

The holidays can be exhausting with all that decorating, caroling and cooking.  Keep your energy up with a big batch of these easy-to-make bars!

Spritz a 9×13 pan with non-stick buttery spray. Press your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom.
Layer Oreos, or another creme-filled cookie, over the dough.
Whip up a batch of your favorite brownie recipe and pour on top of the Oreos and cookie dough.  (I like to use Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate brownie mix when I’m in a hurry.)
Bake according to brownie recipe instructions.
Let cool completely and cut into squares.
Feel free to change this up with a sugar cookie bottom, Reese’s Peanut Butter cups for the middle layer, and blondie batter on top. The possibilities are endless.
Happy Holidays!

  1. Hi, Ashley. The baking temperature will depend on the instructions on your brownie mix or your favorite homemade brownie recipe. A general rule of thumb, though, is 350 degrees. I hope that helps!

  2. It actually worked out great. I used pre-made choc. chip cookie dough. Put a slice on the bottom, then oreo, then brownie mix on top in a XL cupcake paper. Baked for 18-20 mins. @ 350. I made for my son’s football…..easy to grab on the run.

  3. My friend made these and they are SO good! Do they freeze well? I’m worried the Oreo will get too soft when thawed.
